Why doesn’t AdSense support EFT payments in many countries?

For Google to do EFT in each country, they would need to have a Nostro account arrangement in each country. They would then aggregate payments for that country and then disburse the payments on schedule.
Whilst this seems simply enough, it can be a logistical nightmare. Not to mention the process of opening an account in each country, which can be a cumbersome and a periodic regulatory/compliance task.
Not all countries would have commercial (internet) banking for Google to automate its disbursement process. Some countries might now even allow Google to open an account without being incorporated locally.
Alternatively, Google can use payment partners in each country or payment processors that will process for a group of countries, but then that's adding to the expenses.
Its simple enough for Google right now to do SWIFT transfers for all concerned.
