Here are my nominees if you will as to who the most five powerful people in banking are (in no particular order):

• Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board
• President of the World Bank
• President of the European Central Bank
• Governor, People's Bank of China
• Governor, Bank of England (almost chose Bank of Japan, but BoE has more influence on markets in my opinion).
