Where can I locate the bank-by-mail addresses for major U.S. banks without having to call each institution?

ACH processors usually have such a list. There are about 9,000 or so (give or take) bank branches in the US, covering all the banks. The list contains the name name and its complete mailing address, routing number, etc.

You should be able to get one from them.
