You do not need to prepare anything.

Opening a bank account in the US is a very simple procedure (even if you are a foreigner). The main ingredients required are:

  • By physically present in the bank branch
  • Bring your passport
  • Your student ID (if you have been issued one - this is optional)
  • Your SSN (if you have been issued one - this is optional)
  • Any secondary form of identification
  • Some base money to get your account started.

The Customer Rep would basically take your passport and copy it, along with with your Student Visa and that's all it takes to open an account. They may ask for a secondary form of identification, but that's about it.
