That the government machinery all over the world will find ways to brand it as something negative.
The sink of illicit wealth, the method by which terrorism and money laundering are facilitated. The instrument which is causing corruption and aiding undeclared wealth, the currency of the underworld and dark web, etc.
Experience has taught me, despite it being an amazing solution, bitcoin represents a clear and present danger to the financial system that has been consciously, wrongly juxtaposed on us, to subdue and control the masses.
The whole concept of money, banking, credit, debt, etc. has gone through such a dark cycle, that we don’t even recognize it.
Bitcoin represents a very powerful awakening call. Bitcoin itself may just be version 1. There will be other variations and versions that will be more powerful (look at other coins, altcoins, DeFi, etc.)
All this is unregulated. All this is uncontrolled. All this is in the hands of the masses. Governments and the financial institutions they harbor cannot comprehend the idea of their citizens having control of their own wealth (which they agree via consensus) as to how much it would be worth against each other’s fiat currency.
Experience has taught me, it will be controlled to the last bit, or else you would be labeled in the worst of ways if you handle bitcoin outside the regulatory environment.
