The best way is to have a variable Wattage bulb (that has capacity in excess of your single array) and then use a Watt meter. It will give you a very reliable measure of the wattage being given out to the end circuit.
Say you array is for 100 Watts. Get a 250 Watt bulb. Light it up (it will naturally glow less) and with your Watt meter you should be able to see what sort of Wattage is coming out.
