Grease money, or speed money is essentially the small bribes you pay, to get things rolling.
There is an old analogy, to keep the mechanical parts running of every factory, grease is a small, but extremely essential component of the factory.
In countries / places where the law is not so strict, grease money gets things done fast, it keeps things rolling, or in some case roll faster and in many case, roll out of a situation (traffic ticket, etc.)
