Generally speaking, a remittance slip will contain the following information as a minimum (albeit results can vary depending on the jurisdiction, method, and transfer entity involved):

  • Sender Name
  • Date
  • Amount being sent
  • Receiver Name
  • Receiver (address, telephone, email)
  • Method (cash, pick-up, account credit, etc).
  • Confirmation/Tracking Number (affectionately called the WUCN - Western Union Control Number).
  • Company Name (the name of the entity sending the money)
