The long and short of it can best be summed by the logo below. Skype would be the ideal platform IMHO for Microsoft to roll-out payments on its messaging platform.

If WeChat is doing it. Facebook Messenger is doing it, Samsung Pay (on the phone) will do it, ApplePay on the phone will do it, so why not Skype?
