What career options exist within the banking industry?

From my personal and professional aspect, I think you should look at a niche within the banking sector, where their are fewer people and demand is high, that area for me is payment systems. This could be in the Credit/Debit cards arena Remittances & Wire Transfers or Transaction Banking.
