Would be hard-pressed to find 5 solid reasons. Flexibility / Convenience / Mobility all wrapped as a single-problem is what in my opinion the mPOS solves.

Because it is so cheap to implement by merchants, as a Consumer it solves the problem of being able to offer card based payments where you traditionally would have paid via cash. Food delivery is one such example. Taxi's etc. are another. The list is quite evolving.

Have-vs-Have-not. As a consumer, some businesses I visit won't even qualify for a POS terminal. Think small businesses, hair-cutting salons, Flea Markets, Independent Clothes Designers, Artists, Freelancers, Temp Help, Small Cafes, Dry-Cleaners, Small Grocery Stores, Etc.

Before you all pounce on the list of businesses above and say "Hey! That's already happening here (in the US)", I am referring to emerging markets / developing countries examples.
