What are the key responsibilities of a CEO?

An alternative definition on the role of a CEO (as explained to me in a nutshell in a management class):

• Walk-in to office every morning
• Look at the list of problems on your table
• Clear / Resolve / Finish as many problems as you can for the day
• As a CEO, Do not add problems to the list (that is the job of your coworkers, they will make sure that they add to the list)
• Go Home
• Shampoo, Rinse, Repeat
