Under CPSS, two areas that will get you up to speed with payment systems in various countries (not all) are:
In addition to these, you might want to visit the Central Bank websites of the countries you are interested in, they would most likely have some publications on the various payment systems in their respective country. This (IMHO) is a great starting (and learning) point for understanding the payment systems globally.
