Both are Virtual (for the Internet).
If you are specifically speaking about Linden Dollars and Bitcoins, there are then considerable differences. Linden Dollars are a closed loop currency that can be used only in Second Life. Bitcoins on the other hand are not. Linden Dollars are not capped by any supply limits.
If you are referring to the similarity of Second Life and Bitcoins, I'm not sure what that would be except both these entities are based on the Internet, with the latter being a protocol and one of the first application adoption of it being currency.
