I personally feel online incubation has its limitations. Incubation really requires that the start-up is properly guided and mentored, and in this respect, physical (face-to-face) interaction is a must.

Though with the Internet/Web these days, there are 1000s of apps to make the online incubation more manageable and meetings more easier to be held (think Skype for one).

For proper results (IMHO), most would prefer that the incubator be a physical one, where more hands-on experience, mentorship, oversight and guidance can be dolled out.
