Short Answer: No
Unless the website has cleared cited online chat as a mechanism for accepting credit card information - which if it has, I'd run away! - Do not give your CC information via online chat.
Beside the obvious risks associated with fraud, you might also have little or no recourse on your purchase via the online chat, as that can be deemed as an inappropriate delivery channel for purchasing. Your acquiring bank may not side with you, should things go awry.
