Is it possible to open multiple accounts within one bank?

Yes. The core banking systems nowadays allow you to have multiple bank accounts, with the same name, address, DOB and most importantly unique identifier (usually your SSN or other number, depending on which country you are in). The account differentiator then becomes your account number.
