CAMS would be an over-kill if you're not in the AML field. As you have indicated that you are indeed working in the AML field, it adds tremendous value (doesn't matter if you are in IT).
It is indeed very difficult to find people in IT with CAMS. So it definitely makes you more in demand and marketable.
