How quickly do check-scanning OCR machines process documents?

This can vary on the hardware, anywhere from 60 check images per minute, to the high-end ones that now do 180-200 checks per minute.

I have personally interacted with Canon Scanners only. I am sure there are other hardware vendors out there.
