How long does an international wire transfer from the U.S. to HDFC Bank in India usually take?

If all information is correct, Maximum 3-Days (I'd be very surprised if the actual number is more than 2 days) for the actual transfer. What invariably happens is that the bank will take its own sweet time to extract your wire transfer and then credit your account. They do this predominantly to keep a float on the money (cost of funds for overnight lending is almost zero to the bank).
