How could Facebook payments influence global remittances for businesses?

Remittances are increasing, with or without Messenger Payments. The more players who enter the field, to be able to provide effortless (read: legal, frictionless payments) the more transactions you would see from it.
Facebook's Messenger Payments would not immediately send ripples in the remittance space, but it would be noticed. Remittances (in my opinion) would only be offered for limited number of countries.
