Ripple (payment network) is slated (in my opinion) to gain traction for financial transactions.
Two things are important for it to be useful for remittances:
Once these two issues have been solved (or populated), then its just a matter of driving traffic and users to use Ripple for cross-border transactions.
Two things are important for it to be useful for remittances:
- Gateways in the Sending & Receiving countries (the more the merrier)
- Market Makers to ensure there is enough liquidity.
