Have you ever bought Bitcoin, forgotten about it, and then later remembered it?

Not directly, but when bitcoin was below $500 - I was trying to make people more aware of it. The easiest thing to do was to buy a few bitcoins and send these new users $10 to $25 in their bitcoin wallets.
Knowing people, I did one thing when I helped them create their wallet, I wrote down with me, their recovery phrases for their wallets, in the event they deleted it or lost their phone or forgot their password.
Fast forward 2 years, when Bitcoin price crossed US$ 15,000 I waited patiently and then the phone calls and the IMs started coming in…
“Hey you remember the wallet you created for me? I lost my phone / deleted the app / yada yada yada… Is there any way to recover those bitcoins?”
Imagine their surprise when it was indeed possible using the recovery phrases and their coins were valued at US$ 300, US$ 400, US$ 500, US$ 700. etc.
My response: “You’re welcome!”
