Can Bitcoin be “printed” the way central banks create more paper currency?

From my understanding the answer would be No. Bitcoin is digital in nature, and its spending and the consensus of the spend in the ledger is digital in nature. If one were to print it out, its validation would be an issue, and would represent a double/triple/multiple spend problems.
