If the payment gateway in question will support Bitcoins, certainly.
Not sure what Bitcoin limits merchant gateways like Bitpay, Coinbase and GoCoin have in place, but it should be possible. Unless of course you're wanting to transact million through a single transaction in which case, liquidity might be an issue and you'll take a small hit in the price fluctuations of bitcoins at the exchanges.
You could be an asset management company, investment management company, broker-dealer, etc. the funds are still fiat to you, so absolutely legal in that aspect.
