Nope. No retaliation. Lots of soured relationships, but no retaliation. The fiduciary responsibility of the bank management is to increase revenue for shareholders, they are not paid to make it personal.
There would however be lots and lots of questions raised if the American market exposure is worth it or not.
Have no doubt, the US Regulators are making it extremely difficult for banks and financial institutions to do business in the US. There is preferential treatment, and the US is slowly choking money supplies where it does not want it to go. Simply put, the big bully in school is at work.
